MATERIALS & CARE

Sterling Silver

A precious solid metal that will last you a lifetime. Sterling silver oxidizes when it comes in contact with sulphur in the air and water. But wearing it often will prevent it from tarnishing!

Care Tips

Tarnishing is a natural occurrence. I would recommend using a silver polishing cloth when needed. When jewelry is not in use, store in a cool, dark place away from sunlight, heat and moisture as this can accelerate tarnishing.

Gold Filled

Durable and affordable! Gold-filled jewelry is made with a thick layer of real, solid 14-karat gold on the outside of a brass core. Gold-filled jewelry is more durable than gold-plated jewelry.

Care Tips

Contact with water is acceptable; no tarnishing will occur. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.

Rose Gold and Gold Plated

Dipped in real 14, 18, and 24 karat gold, with high-quality sterling silver as the bass is beautiful and affordable. Rose Gold has a mixture of real gold and copper alloy to create its rosy pink colour.

Care Tips

Avoid showering with gold and rose gold plated jewelry can eventually cause the gold layer to wear off completely, so please avoid doing so. Jewelry should be wiped down with a damp cotton ball or microfibre cloth after wearing to remove smudges and surface soil. Avoid contact with lotions, soaps and perfumes. When not in use, store in a soft, cool and dark place.

Gold Vermeil

Gold vermeil is a type of gold jewelry made to last. The base metal is 925 sterling silver. A thick layer of gold is then electroplated over the base metal that is at least 2.5 microns thick. Gold vermeil jewelry has a much thicker layer of gold. This means it is less likely to fade, tarnish, or wear off.

Care Tips

Remove jewelry before showering, exercising, and washing your hands. Avoid direct contact with cologne, perfume, soap and other beauty products while wearing your jewelry. To clean your gold vermeil, dip your jewelry into soapy water (avoid harsh chemicals and ingredients) and use your fingers to gently rub away any dirt or debris. Rinse with plain water and gently pat dry.
